Pupil Premium
What is the Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium is additional money paid to the school for pupils who have been registered for Free School Meals (FSM) at any point in the last six years, looked after by the Local Authority or have been adopted from care. The school receives this money to support these pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers.
If you feel that you might be entitled to FSM but do not currently claim please speak to Miss Smiles or Mr Berry. All enquiries are dealt with in the strictest of confidence.
It is vital that you still make the application even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 and receive Universal Free School Meals.
Alternatively information is available via this link:
Tracking pupil progress is a key part of ensuring that the gap in attainment is closed. This is done every half term and reported to Trustees on a termly basis. Data is used to highlight underperformance in reading, writing and maths and monitor exceeding rates of progress.

What do our children say?
The children at Upland Primary School are very open and enjoy having the opportunity to talk about their school life and learning. The school regularly seeks the opinion of our pupils to ensure that we are providing the very best for our children.
